Containing 8 teaching and research sections and four information centers, the College of Medical Information Engineering in GDPU offers three Bachelor’s programs, including Information Management and Information System, Computer Science & Technology and Biomedicine Engineering.
The faculty of the College is young and full of energy. 97% of the teachers have Master’s degree. In some famous and large-scale competitions held in China, they have won great praise for the College by their professional computer knowledge.
The research strength of the College also earns much reputation for it. The research group pays all their attention to the research of information technology and life science. The research areas of the group cover computer basic skills training, basic program design, construction of hospital information system, etc.
Based on the clear understanding of the teaching requirements of information technology in China, the College of Medical Information Engineering has tried its best to design the most proper majors according to the needs of the market. After years’ efforts, it has trained numerous talents in the field of computer science and it also becomes a main base for the training of MCIO in Guangdong Province.

Entry requirements
Senior high school graduates or above; Non-criminal record; Have good reading, listening, writing and speaking abilities of Chinese and can read Chinese textbooks; HSK 6 is required for liberal arts, economy, management students; HSK 3 or above is required for science, engineering and medical students.
Tuition fees
The tuition fee for Bachelor's program is RMB 16,500 per person/school year. The registration fee is RMB 430.
Note: Students should pay the tuition fee for each school year at one time. Tuition will not be given back when students leave school or suspend the schooling during the learning period.
