Established in 1958, the School of Public Health can be regarded as one of the oldest schools in Guangdong Pharmaceutical University. The School began to enroll undergraduate students in 1978. In 2004, it got its present name.
Located in the Chigang campus of GDPU, the School has advanced teaching and research facilities. The total construction area of it reaches 15000 square meters. The excellent teaching group it owns has made great contribution to the development of the School. At present, the School has a faculty of 95 people, 85 of whom are professional teachers. There are 10 professors, 22 associate professors in the School. The faculty contains one national prominent teacher.
Currently, the School has six departments and one experimental center, and offers three programs, including Preventive Medicine, Health Inspection and Food Quality and Safety. Among them, the first one is a famous major in Guangdong Province.
The advanced teaching and facilities owned by the School play important roles in the development. It has 18 laboratories and 28 supporting rooms for research. During its teaching process, the School pays more attention to the development of the students’ practical ability. And the students have won numerous awards in some national and provincial competitions.
After 50 years’ development, the School has trained more than 5000 undergraduates, most of whom have become talents in the field of disease control and prevention and health inspection, etc.

Entry requirements
Senior high school graduates or above; Non-criminal record; Have good reading, listening, writing and speaking abilities of Chinese and can read Chinese textbooks; HSK 6 is required for liberal arts, economy, management students; HSK 3 or above is required for science, engineering and medical students.
Tuition fees
The tuition fee for Bachelor's program is RMB 16,500 per person/school year. The registration fee is RMB 430.
Note: Students should pay the tuition fee for each school year at one time. Tuition will not be given back when students leave school or suspend the schooling during the learning period.
