School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Henan University of Technology now offers 5 undergraduate programs (machinery design, manufacture and automation, material forming and control engineering, process equipment and control engineering, vehicle engineering, packing engineering) and 4 junior college students’ programs (mold design and manufacture, mechanical manufacture and automation, automotive technical service, marketing). There are 2,400 students and 94 teaching and administrative staffs at this school. Among the teachers, 14 are professors, 32 are associate professors and over 95% of the young teachers have master’s degree or above. Besides, 1 teacher can enjoy the government allowance sanctified by the state council, 3 teachers are academic technical leaders among the universities of Henan Province, 5 are academic leaders of the ministry of education of Henan Province, etc.
School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has set up the administration office, student office, general Youth League branch, department of manufacture engineering, department of mechanical design, department of mechanical and electrical engineering, department of vehicle engineering, experimental center of mechanical engineering, etc.
Currently, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering offers several postgraduate programs--- mechanical engineering, mechanical design and theory, mechanical manufacture and automation, mechanical and electronic engineering, vehicle engineering, and agricultural mechanization engineering. There are now 16 tutors and 50 master degree candidates at this school.
School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has many research institutions of mechanical and electrical technology, robotics, welding technique, precision manufacture technology, etc. And it has gained plentiful research achievements in the fields of precision manufacture, digital control processing, industrial robot, mold design and manufacture, etc. Besides, this school has undertaken the national “863” plan and other many projects financed by provincial natural sciences fund, provincial outstanding talents fund, etc. And it has won lots of progress prizes in science and technology of Henan Province. In addition, this school was the first university of Henan province to design and make two processing centers on its own.

Entry requirements
For Associate or Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be under the age of 35 years, and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school, academic records, have an HSK test score of grade 3 or above.
For Master’s degree: Applicants must be under 40 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and a Bachelor’s degree, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above.
