The School of Political Science and Law was founded on the basis of the original political history class (founded in 1972). In 1999, Huanggang Normal College was promoted to Huanggang Normal University and began to recruit undergraduate students. Till now, the School of Political Science and Law has a history of over 30 years. Currently, this institute offers 4 undergraduate programs (ideological and political education, political and administrative sciences, law, and geographical science) and a section for ideology politics theory class. Besides, it offers a junior college program--- ideological and political education.
Currently, the School of Political Science and Law has 607 students. And it has 49 full-time and part-time teachers, among whom, 6 are professors, 17 are associate professors, 12 are lecturers and 10 are teaching assistants. Of all the teachers, 3 are doctors, 2 are doctoral degree candidates, 19 are masters, 3 are master degree candidates, 1 is cross-century academic backbone of Hubei Province, etc. Besides, this institute has 7 teaching and research rooms for teaching and research activities.
The School of Political Science and Law has plentiful achievements in scientific research. During the 10th 5-year plan, it has won over 50 scientific research projects of various types, of which, 3 were at state-level, nearly 30 were at provincial level and over 10 were university-level key projects. Besides, it has published 10-million-word’s monographs. And it has participated in the compilation of over 40 monographs. In addition, it has published over 350 academic theses, of which, over 10 have won the prizes at provincial and municipal level, over 20 were reprinted by RDFY.
The academic activities of the students from this institute are also active. The students at school have published over 80 articles, of which, one was chosen as national second prize, 3 were chosen as first prizes of the university, 4 were published on the school newspaper, 6 students have won the scientific research achievement prizes, etc.

Entry Requirements
For Vocational degree and Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be under the age of 35 years, and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school, academic records, have an HSK test score of grade 3 or above.
