College of Information Science and Engineering, Huaqiao University was founded in May, 2000. It was made up of the department of electronic engineering (founded in 1983) and the department of electrical engineering and automation (founded in 1989). Currently, College of Information Science and Engineering offers 6 undergraduate programs (electronics and information engineering, communication engineering, electronics science and technology, electrical engineering and automation, automation, integrated circuit design, integrated system) and 8 postgraduate programs (information and communication engineering, physical electronics, optics, communication and information system, signal and information processing, theory and new technology of electrical engineering, electronics and communication, electrical engineering).
Currently, this college has 122 teaching and administrative staffs, including 15 professors, 26 associate professors, 5 senior experimentalists, and 25 are doctors. There are now over 2,200 undergraduate students and nearly 150 graduate students.
Since 2000, College of Information Science and Engineering has won 5 provincial and ministerial level progress prizes in science and technology. Besides it has applied and jointly undertaken 3 key projects financed by state natural sciences fund. And it has undertaken over 30 key projects of Fujian province. In addition, the teachers of this college has published over 600 academic theses, of which, over 200 were embodied by SCI and EI. And they have published 10 monographs and textbooks, of which, 6 have won the patents.
College of Information Science and Engineering attaches great importance to the external academic exchange activities. In recent years, it has sent lots of teachers to America, Germany and Japan for cooperative researches. Currently, it has established cooperative relations with several professors from internally famous universities to jointly cultivate master students and do research activities.

Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be under the age of 35 years, and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school, academic records, have an HSK test score of grade 3 or above.
For Master’s degree: Applicants must be under 40 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and a Bachelor’s degree, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above.
