School of Electrical Engineering and Automation was established in 1958. The school now has the Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Automation, Department of Biomedical Engineering, a experiment enter for electrician and electron teaching, 6 sections of electric apparatus research institute of Hebei province. There are 3 undergraduate programs: Electrical Engineering and Automation, Automation and Biomedical Engineering.
The school now has a faculty of 123 persons, including 93 teachers and 22 lab assistants. The school also has 2 doctor’s degree programs for Electrical Engineering and Controlling Theory and Engineering; 3 master’s degree programs of engineering for Electrical Engineering, Controlling Science and Engineering and Biomedical Engineering; and 2 pos-doctorate research stations for Electrical Engineering, controlling Science and Engineering.
