The School of Literature and Journalism, established in April, 2008, is a combination of Department of Chinese Literature and Department of Journalism. The college has 4 scientific research centers, namely Inner Mongolian Literature Research Center, Research Center of Ancient Northern Chinese National Literature, Research Center of Cultural Linguistics, Research Center of Journalism and Inner Mongolian Social Development.
The School of Literature and Journalism has good academic research environment to train many professional talents who become famous scholars later. Currently the school has 11 professors, 9 associate professors and 17 lectures.
There are 4 second-class master degree programs, 2 first-class programs (Chinese Literature, Journalism and Communication), 2 bachelor’s degree programs (Chinese Language and Literature, Journalism), and a new program---Editing &Publishing Science set up in 2008.

Entry Requirements
Undergraduate: high school graduate, having passed examinations or tests by Chinese universities or colleges and admitted.
Postgraduate: record of schooling is equal to an undergraduate's in China, having passed enrollment exam or test for M.A. students.
Doctoral candidate: postgraduate, recommended by 2 or more tutors bearing the titles of associate professors or with titles above, or passed entrance examinations or tests for Ph.D. candidates.
