School of Business Administration (SBA) in Jiangsu University was founded in 1982. SBA has a doctorate degree granting point in management science and engineering (the 2006-2010 key academic discipline of Jiangsu Province), one post-doctoral station in management science and engineering, four master’s degree granting point that includes management of science and engineering, enterprise management, techno-economic and management, social medicine and health service management, and another granting point in master of business administration (MBA) as well as three granting fields of master of engineering, including industrial engineering, logistics engineering and project management, etc. At present, SBA is running eight undergraduate professions, such as business administration, human resource management, marketing, e-commerce, information management and information system, industrial engineering, management of public service (the direction of medical insurance and health service management) and logistics management, etc. Currently, SBA has a teaching staff of 106, including 46 full or associate professors as well as about 1,500 undergraduates and 1200 postgraduates.

 

The MBA Education Center of Jiangsu University is affiliated to SBA. SBA also has six research institutions, including the SME Development Research Center, Institute of Management and Ethics and Institute of Management Engineering. In 2008, the SME Development Research Center is granted as one of the first batch of Philosophy and Social Science Research Bases in Jiangsu Province.

 

In the past 5 years, SBA has completed about 30 research projects at national and ministerial and provincial level, published nearly 40 books and textbooks, as well as 700 papers. Nearly 10 achievements in scientific research have obtained awards at provincial and ministerial level. At present, SBA is undertaking about 50 scientific research projects, mainly financed by China National Science Fund, China National Social Science Fund, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education and so on.

 

As one of the earliest research organizations on SME, SBA has achieved fruitful research results in the following fields, such as credit guarantee of SME, social network of SME, innovation and entrepreneurship of SME and safe production of SME and so on. The Bureau of SME of the former State Economic and Trade Commission granted SBA as the project research and training base for SME in China. As the dean of SBA and the expert group leader of “small enterprises reform and development” project financed by the UNDP, professor Mei Qiang presided over the design of establishment program for China’s first credit guarantee institution of SME that runs in line with international standards and norms, which is highly praised by the UNDP and the Bureau of SME and promoted to the nationwide. Nowadays, there are more than 4,000 credit guarantee institutions of SME in China.

 

SBA has been attaching importance to inter-school exchanges and established a good exchange and cooperation relationship with several universities, including Japan’s Mie University, Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) and Chienkuo Technology University (Taiwan) and so on. SBA invites scholars to give lectures, holds academic exchanges and participates in cooperation research. It also recruits master’s degree or doctorate graduate students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and has nearly 40 graduate students from the above three regions.

 

SBA insists on serving for socio-economic construction and has held a variety of multi-level trainings for many well-known enterprises, such as the Dongfeng Automobile Group, China First Tractor Group, Golden Dragon Group and Chunlan Group, etc. Advanced training classes for Taiwan entrepreneurs are held annually. Meanwhile, SBA also provides a wide range of consulting and planning services for all kinds of enterprises and organizations in enterprise operation diagnosis, marketing program planning, information management, quality system certification and hospital management and so on.

 

The whole staff and students of SBA adheres to the school motto of “erudition, truthfulness, virtuousness”, insists on the priority of quality and clearance of features, and equally emphasize teaching and scientific research, so as to foster senior economic management personnel with spirit of innovation.

For international students, the deadline for admission is August 15 every year. The final decisions of admission are made upon application materials, examination record and health examination record. The Admission Letter will be sent out by the International Education Exchange College before August 15.

 

For Bachelor’s degree: Be in good health condition, have senior high school diploma and good academic record, have basic Chinese language ability for non-English courses, have good moral character, applicants who apply for Bachelor programs conducted in English should have certain English proficiency.

                                           

For Master’s degree: Be in good health condition, have college graduation diploma and good academic record, have basic Chinese language ability for non-English courses, have good moral character, applicants who apply for bachelor programs conducted in English should have certain English proficiency.
