The School of Chemical Engineering consists of department of chemical engineering, light industry engineering department, Department of Process Equipment and Control Engineering and 5 research institutes. It has 4 undergraduate programs, one master’s program of first-level discipline, 7 master’s programs of second-level disciplines, 4 provincial level key disciplines, one provincial level key profession. Besides, it recruits professional doctoral students of metallurgy, materialization and environmental ecology.
The School of Chemical Engineering bases itself upon Yunnan Province and orients towards the whole country. Centering on the undergraduate education, it actively develops the graduate education. The main scientific research fields involve phosphorus chemical industry, coal chemical industry, forest chemical, fine chemical industry, process equipment technology, solar energy engineering technology, sewage disposal technology, changing solid waste to resource, foodstuff engineering and food security, pulping and paper making, etc.
Currently, this school has 95 teaching and administrative staffs, in which, 16 are professors, 40 are associate professors, 51 of the teachers have doctor’s degrees or master’s degrees, 3 are provincial level academic leaders. There are over 1,000 full-time undergraduate students and over 100 graduate students.

Application Time
For international students, the academic year begins in September. The duration for application is from March 1st to June 30th.
Entry Requirements
Undergraduates: The applicant should be a high school graduates with acceptable Chinese level.
Master candidates: The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree and with acceptable Chinese level.
Doctor candidates: The applicant should have a Master’s degree and with acceptable Chinese level.
