The School of Computer Science, Liaocheng University was founded in February, 1996. Its predecessor was the computer science department of Liaocheng Normal College. The School of Computer Science consists of computer science department, department of information management, department of electronic commerce, software engineering department, experimental teaching center of computer science and basic teaching section. Currently, it offers one postgraduate program (computer software and theory) and 4 undergraduate programs--- computer science and technology, information management and information system, electronic commerce, software engineering.
The School of Computer Science has published over 540 theses in the domestic and foreign key academic journals, of which, 36 were cited by SCI, EI and ISTP. Besides, it has independently undertaken 2 projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 3 projects financed by Shandong natural sciences fund. And it has jointly undertaken 6 projects financed by state natural sciences fund and 4 national “973” and “863” projects. Of all the projects, 2 have won the progress prizes in sciences and technology of Shandong Province, 9 have won the outstanding scientific research achievements awards of the universities in Shandong province.
The School of Computer Science has close academic exchanges and cooperative relations with many domestic and foreign key universities, such as Tsinghua University, China Science and Technology University, Shandong University, East China Normal University, Murdoch University, Hoseo University, etc.
The professional experimental teaching center of computer science consists of central machine room, laboratory of computer hardware, laboratory of computer network, computer foundation laboratory, laboratory of electronic commerce, laboratory of management information system, laboratory of circuit, etc. There are 400 top-end computers and 189 instruments and equipments in this center. And it was chosen as the “first-class laboratory in university” by the Ministry of Education of Shandong Province.

Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be under the age of 35 years, and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school, academic records, have an HSK test score of grade 3 or above.
For Master’s degree: Applicants must be under 40 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and a Bachelor’s degree, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above.
