The School of Law of Lanzhou University whose precursor was the Department of Law was found on June 25th, 2003. In 1984, it began to enroll students for Bachelor’s degree with the permission of Ministry of Education of China. It began to authorize Master’s degree in 1999. The School makes great progress since its establishment with such a centuries-old history.
Currently, the School owns first-level authorized discipline for Master’s degree, covering 7 majors: Legal History, Constitution & Administrative Law, Civil & Commercial Law, Criminal Law, Economic Law, Resources & Environment Protection Law, and International Law. The School owns 11 projects of National Science and Humanity Funds, 58 projects at provincial level. What’s more, the School owns a group of 52 high-qualified faculties among whom there are 36 full-time teachers, including 6 professors and 18 associate professors. Currently it undertakes full-time students of over 600 postgraduate students and undergraduate students.
The School attaches great importance to scientific research and makes great achievement in various fields. It has provided a large number of students to contribute to the society. Most of them have already become the leadership in local positions, courts, institutes and other enterprises. It owns 4 institutes, one complicated office, 10 teaching and research sections, one key library and 2 key laboratories. What’s more, it has established wide relationships with so many domestic and international universities in academic exchange.

Application time
For Bachelor’s degree, the duration for application is from March1 to June 30. The academic year begins on September 1.
For Master’s degree, the duration for application is from March to July.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: the applicants should have senior high school certificate or equivalent, score list, HSK3 certificate, and application form.
For Master’s degree: the applicants should have university diploma and certificate or above, score list, recommendation letters written by 2 professors, HSK3 certificate and application form.
