School of Pharmaceutical was founded in 1959. It is formerly established as School of Pharmaceutical in 2002. It has a long history of 44 years. At present, there are 57 teachers, including 54 full-time teachers, 7 professors, 13 associate professors.
The school now owns three Master’s programs including Pharmacognostics, Pharmacology and Pharmacy. The school operates several institutes, 1 pharmaceutical basic laboratory and 2 professional laboratories. The institutes are Institutes of Pharmacochemistry, Pharmacology, and The Science of Pharmacy Administration. Additionally, there is 1 research institute of Chinese Medical Herb.
The School of Pharmaceutical has made great achievement in the passing years. Pharmacy was awarded the provincial key supported subject in 1994. Then in 2002 the basic laboratorywas awarded the qualified laboratory of the Gansu province. Also it has won 18 provincial research projects and published over 300 papers.
In the past 44 years, the school has sent nearly 10,000 pharmaceutical talents with all levels to the society. The graduates not only became the backbone of medicine industry of the Gansu province, but also gained praise and honors.
The school is rather active in developing international education exchange and cooperation through the international exchange of post-graduate students, visiting scholars and scientific research cooperation with universities and organizations in more than 30 foreign countries and regions including USA, Japan, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Canada, Russia, Hong Kong and many others.
