College of Philosophy and Public Administrationwas established in April 11, 2000. Its predecessor was the Philosophy Department which was formed in 1959.
At present there are 589 full-time undergraduates, 337 graduate students. Teaching staffs are 43, 36 people full-time teachers, among them 9 Professors, 8 Associate Professors, 15 people lecturers and 4 PhD supervisors, 15 teachers received a doctorate degree, six teachers are currently studying for a doctorate. Marxism has the right to award a doctorate of philosophy, philosophical level disciplines authorized to confer master's degree and a master's degree in public administration authorized points (MPA).
More specific majors include philosophy, administration, public utilities management, labor and social security, political science and administration of industry and commerce administration study and six undergraduate professional (since 2000 before the construction of four professional) and the Institute of Marxist Philosophy, Oughtopia Research Center, Buddhist Culture Research Center. Marxist philosophy and Liaoning University are key disciplines in Liaoning Province, Liaoning Province model professional colleges and universities. In recent years, the philosophy of disciplines in the application of philosophical theories and methods, management and decision-making philosophy, culture, philosophy, economic and social development of philosophy and direction on research to obtain more research results are the National Applied Philosophy and Philosophical Society, president of Liaoning units.

Entry requirements
Applicants must hold equivalent degrees with good results, in good health and aged 18 or above. Chinese Language requirement is HSK level 3 for undergraduate students, and for postgraduate students, the requirement is HSK Level 6.
