College of Economics in Liaoning University was founded in 1984. Its original name is College of Economics and Management.The school possesses a vigorous teaching and research team with reasonable structure of age and knowledge. There are 134 faculty members with 28 doctoral supervisors, 62 professors and associate professors. The college has total enrollment of over 2684 bachelor students, 539 master students, 227 doctor students, and about 21 international students.
There are 8 departments in the college including Department of Economics, Department of Public Economics, Department of Statistics, Department of Finance, Department of Insurance, Department of International Economics & Trade, Department of Engineering Management and Department of Public Finance & Taxation. The college offers 8 Bachelor’s programs including Economics, Management of National Economy, Finance, Statistics, International Economics & Trade, Insurance and Engineering Management. It also offers 2 one-grade Doctoral degree including Plutology and Applied Economics and 18 Master’s degree.
Owing to the efforts of several generations, especially under the promotion of "211 Project", the college has realized a leaping development in many aspects such as subject construction, academic research, talent training, faculty construction and so on.
In addition, the college has enjoyed good cooperation relations with some business schools in USA, Australia, France, Germany, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. in many fields.
