Established in 1996, the College of Agriculture possesses the most characteristics and advantages of the Northeast Agricultural University. It has 3 departments (Department of Agriculture, Department of Plant Protection, Department of Seed Science and Engineering), 2 teaching experiment centers (Agriculture, Plant Protection), and several laboratories, experimental teaching demonstration centers and research institutes.
The College of Agriculture has 3 majors and 5 major fields, among which the Agriculture and Plant Protection are the provincial key majors. It has provincial key first-class program in Crop Science, key subject group in Northern Cold-region Crop Science and Technology, 5 provincial key second-class programs in Crop Genetic Breeding, Crop Cultivation and Farming System, Agricultural Entomology and Pest Control, Plant Pathology and Agricultural Pharmacology, 4 discipline structures in Crop Genetic Breeding, Crop Cultivation and Farming System, Plant Pathology and Agricultural Entomology and Pest Control. There is a post-doctoral studies center in Crop Science, a first-class doctoral degree program in Crop Science and a first-class master’s degree program in Plant Protection. The five second-class programs are master’s degree programs.
The School of Agriculture has 95 faculty, including 54 teachers, 17 researchers, 17 non-academic personnel and 7 cadres in the government and the Party. Among those faculty, 78 have a master’s degree or doctoral degree, and 20 are studying for a doctoral degree. There are 20 doctor tutors and 42 master tutors.
Currently there are more than 800 undergraduates in the school, 70 doctoral candidates and 260 master candidates as well as 200 MAEs.
The School of Agriculture possesses a experimental office building of 12,700㎡ for research, education, experiment, preservation, administration and student activities.

Entry Requirements
Bachelor’s degree: Be above 18 years old and under the age of 35, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, the copy of score list, in good health.
Master’s degree: Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK3 certificate or above, the copy of score list and diploma, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
Doctoral degree: Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 40, the copy of score list and diploma, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
