The College of Information Technical Science, made up of Department of Computer and System Science, Department of Electronic Science, Institute of Modern Optics, Institute of Photo electronic Thin Film Device and Technology, and Institute of Machine Intelligence, was set up in 1995.
Now the College has more than 1,600 undergraduates, 700 PhD students and master students. At the same time, it also enrolls students for different kinds of adult education. The college inherits the good education tradition of Nankai University and pays special attention to teaching and educating of students. The College betters the teaching methods and renews the teaching contents to emphasize the importance of basic teaching, it strengthens the engineering training to improve students' practical ability, and it starts from the in-class teaching, special labs, academic activity and social practice to display the college's teaching characteristics and the systematic and advanced class curriculum. Every year, the college will invite well-known experts and scholars to give speech to the students. Application time
For Bachelor’s degree, the duration for application is from March15 1 to April 15 every year. The academic year begins on September 1.
For Master’s and Doctoral degree, the time for application is March 1 to March 31. Examination: the last ten-day period of May
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be over the age of 18 and in good health, notarized copy of senior high school diploma or highest diploma, Official HSK6 certificate or above.
For Master’s degree: Applicants must be above the age of 18 and in good health, at least have a Bachelor Degree with good academic performance, the transcript of Bachelor’s certificate and diploma, a study or research plan in Chinese or in English (no less than 800 words), two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors, HSK6 certificate or above.
For Doctoral degree:Applicants must be over 18 years-old and in good health, at least have a Masters degree with good academic performance, the transcript of Master’s certificate and diploma, a study or research plan in Chinese or in English (no less than 800 words), two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors, HSK6 certificate or above.
