The history of the College of Economics and Management can be dated back to September, 1943, when it was the Department of Agricultural Economics in the Agricultural College of Sichuan University. After several department adjustments, it became the College of Economics and Trade until 1993, and finally changed its name to be the College of Economics and Management in 2003.
The College of Economics and Management has 1 doctoral degree grogram, 1 first-class master’s degree program, 5 second-class master’s degree programs and 8 bachelor’s degree programs. Currently there are more than 2,700 undergraduates and 200 postgraduates in the college.
The College of Economics and Management possesses over 70 professional teachers, among whom 34 are professors and associate professors, 9 are doctoral tutors, 30 are master tutors, and 22 have or are studying for a doctoral degree. The college has set up 8 departments, namely Department of Agricultural/forest Economy Management, Department of Business Administration, Department of Economics, Department of Financial Management, Department of International Economics and Trade, Department of Finance, Department of Marketing and Department of Information Management and Information System. Moreover, there are 2 provincial research centers (Sichuan Rural Development Research Center, Zhejiang University CARD), and an Economic Management Comprehensive Experimental Center (Modern Agroeconomic Management Laboratory, Modern Management Laboratory, Financial Laboratory, Economics Laboratory).
Over the past few years, the College of Economics and Management has undertaken almost 100 national, province-level and ministry-level scientific research tasks and international/horizontal cooperative research projects. It has strong basis and features of research on Ecological Economy & Sustainable Region Development, Agricultural/Forest Economic Theory and Policy, Agricultural Techno-economy, Planning and Assessment, Regional Economies, Business Management, Industrialized Agricultural Operation, Agricultural Education, Rural Social Security, etc.

Master’s degree: Have Bachelor’s degree or above, HSK4 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
Doctoral degree: Have Master’s degree or above, HSK4 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
