1.Objectives
The students are going to be trained to have a good master of Chinese language and a comprehensive knowledge of Chinese society and culture. They will be familiar with Chinese economic laws concerning international trade, and be competent in dealing with international business and communication in Chinese.
2.Main Course
Chinese Intensive Reading, Listening Chinese & Oral Chinese, Chinese Writing, Chinese Grammar, Chinese Lexicology, Ancient Chinese, Brief Theory of Linguistics, A Survey of China, Chinese History, Economic Laws, International Investment & Multinational Business, International Trade Laws, Cross-cultural Business Behavior, Theory & Techniques of Translation, Computer Application Basis．
3.Requirements
1. a high school graduation certificate or equivalent;
2. high school graduation certificate and academic transcript;
3. No lower than HSK Band certificate copy.
NOTES: The first year for undergraduates is a trial year.Freshmen will be registered as sophomores after passing all the degree exams in the first academic year
4.Study Certificate
In accordance with the Regulations for Awarding Degrees of the People's Republic of China , a Graduation Certificate will be issued to those undergraduates candidates when they complete the required courses and are qualified for graduation.
A Certificate for Completion of Courses will be issued to those who are advanced students for major and those who accomplished their academic plan. A Study Certificate will be issued to those who drop out.
5.Application procedure
1) An Application Form for International Students Wishing to study at Tongji University may be requested by mail and by phone or download at this page.
2) The Application Form (including other application materials)and registration fee must be received at the International Students Office of Tongji University at least 2 months before admission;
3) An Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China will be sent to successful applicants;
4) The applicants must go to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in their home country with the Admission Notice and the Visa Application Form to receive a student entry visa (X visa).
5) The enrolled applicants must have medical insurance and casualty insurance before registration.
6) Students must register at the International Students Office on time in accordance with the detailed requirements in the Admission Notice.
