The School of Management and Economics was founded with the merger of School of Management and School of Economics and Management in October, 2006. It is made up of management department and department of economics. In 1993, the management science and engineering was the first to have the right to confer master’s degree. In 2003, the management science and engineering was authorized to confer the doctoral degree and it was the first normal university to have the doctoral program of first-level discipline. This discipline is also the 11th 5-year plan key discipline of Shandong Province.
Currently, School of Management and Economics has set up 3 second-level doctoral programs--- administrative decision theory and application, information management and electronic commerce, regional economy and resource optimization management. Besides, it has the 2 master’s programs--- global economy, Chinese and foreign political institutions. It also has 4 undergraduate programs--- electronic commerce, information management and information system, international economics and trade, human resource management.
At present, School of Management and Economics has 44 teaching and administrative staffs, in which, 7 are professors and researchers and 8 are holders of doctoral degree or doctoral students. This school attaches great importance to the international and domestic academic exchanges. It actively establishes relationships with many scientific research institutions and universities both at home and abroad. And it employs professors and enterprisers from famous enterprises and universities to give lectures in the school. It has sent lots of teachers to the universities like Hong Kong Polytechnic University, City University of Hong Kong, National University of Singapore, Chinese Academy of Science, Nankai Unversity, Chinese University of Science and Technology, etc. for exchanges and cooperation.
In recent years, School of Management and Economics has altogether undertaken 28 scientific research projects, including 5 state-level projects. It has made lots of academic achievements and some of them have created great influence both at home and abroad. Besides, it has published lots of academic theses, in which, over 60 were collected by SCI, EI, ISTP and CSSCI. It has also published 5 academic monographs. And it has won 5 scientific research awards at provincial and ministerial level.

Application Time
For international students, the academic year begins in September. The duration for application is from March 1st to June 30th.
Entry Requirements
Undergraduates: Have a diploma equivalent to the high school diploma in China; HSK Level 3.
Master candidates: Have a diploma equivalent to the bachelor degree in China; HSK Level 6; pass the entrance exams of two or three core courses.
Doctor candidates: Have a diploma equivalent to the master degree in China; HSK Level 6; pass the entrance exams of two or three core courses.
