Founded in June 2004, the College of Materials Science and Engineering has 3 Departments (Department of Metallic Materials Engineering, Department of Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Engineering, Department of Macromolecule Material and Engineering) and set up 4 bachelor’s degree programs in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallic Materials Engineering, Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Engineering and Macromolecule Material and Engineering, 1 first-class master’s degree program in Materials Science and Engineering, 3 second-class master’s degree programs in Material Science, Material Processing and Materials Physics and Chemistry.
The College of Materials Science and Engineering has 810 undergraduates and postgraduates, 42 faculties including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 10 professors, 4 doctor tutors, 12 associate professors and 2 lecturers. Among those full-time teachers, 16 have a master’s degree, 16 have a doctor’s degree, 4 have a post-doctor’s degree and 5 are studying for a doctor’s degree.
The College has gained great achievements in the research fields of metallic material and surface peening, non-metallic inorganic materials and polymer materials. For the past few years, the college has published more than 310 papers and gained several awards such as prizes of Shandong Sci-Tech Progress Award. It has also undertaken many scientific research projects of all levers.

Application Time
For international students, the academic year begins in September. The duration for application is from March 1st to June 30th.
Entry Requirements
Bachelor’s degree: Be above 18 years old and under the age of 35, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, the copy of score list, in good health.
Master’s degree: Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK3 certificate or above, the copy of score list and diploma, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
Doctoral degree: Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 40, the copy of score list and diploma, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
