School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1985. Its former name was department of traditional Chinese medicine. In 2004, the department of traditional Chinese medicine was renamed as the current name.
Currently, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine has 37 full-time teachers, among whom, 1 is the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 6 are professors, 15 are associate professors, 7 are doctors and 18 are masters.
School of Traditional Chinese Medicine offers 3 undergraduate programs--- traditional Chinese pharmacology, pharmaceutical preparation, pharmacy (clinical pharmacy). The pharmacology discipline is the outstanding curriculum of Tianjin. The experimental teaching center of traditional Chinese Pharmacology is a outstanding teaching center of Tianjin. Besides, this school offers 3 postgraduate programs (traditional Chinese pharmacology, pharmacology, pharmacognostics) and one doctoral program (traditional Chinese pharmacology).
In recent 3 years, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine has undertaken over 30 scientific research projects at state-level, provincial and ministerial level, etc. And it has won over 10 prizes at various levels. Besides, it has published over 200 theses and over 10 monographs.

Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be under the age of 35 years, and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school, academic records, have an HSK test score of grade 3 or above.
For Master’s degree: Applicants must be under 40 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and a Bachelor’s degree, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above.
For Doctoral degree:Applicants must be in good physical condition and under 45 of age in principle, holding a non-China passport and a Master’s degree, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, academic records.
