The Business School was founded in December, 2004. This school has 5 departments including accounting, business management, marketing, management information system, management science and engineering. And it has the complete education levels, such as undergraduate education, master education and doctoral education.
Up to September, 2007, the school has 148 teaching and administrative staffs, in which, 14 are doctoral tutors and 62 are master’s tutors; 41 are professors, 40 are associate professors and 28 are lecturers; 61 of the teachers are holders of doctoral degrees and doctoral students. Besides, the school has invited experts and scholars who have great scientific attainments and practical management experience to work as visiting professors or doctoral tutors. Business School has a reasonably structured team. They are developing with the development of the school.
Until September, 2007, Business School has 4,942 students in all, in which, 4514 are full-time undergraduate students, 373 are master degree candidates and 55 are doctoral degree candidates. The number of the teaching staffs and students all rank first in the whole university.
Business School has the education for undergraduate students, master students and doctoral students. The undergraduate programs include accounting, financial management, auditing, marketing, advertising, logistics management, electronic commerce, information management and information system, business administration, engineering management, human resource management and management science. And the accounting degree is the key discipline of Tianjin. The master students’ programs include accounting, management science, etc. And the doctoral programs include accounting, management science, etc.
During the teaching, Business School pays attention to the cultivation of students’ science competence and humanistic spirit. According to the differences of the students’ conditions, the school provides suitable measures to help the student to become a useful person. Undergraduates: in good health, with high school diploma, having passed the test of HSK grade 3 and above.
Master candidates: in good health, with a university diploma, having passed the test of HSK grade 6 and tests of 3 business courses.
Doctor candidates: in good health, with graduate diploma, having passed test of HSK grade 6 and above.
