On 9th , November, Tongji University organized internatinal student of proparatory course to got to Xi Tang for teaching practice, there were 300 students and teachers taking part in. The activity was aimed at simply riching international students out-class livings, but also was aimed at let international students zero-distancely experience humanilities and culture of Xi Tang, a vilige lies in south of Yangtz River, China. The activity was successful since because of well prepared and continious support from university leaders.
It happened to be a misty rainy day when the activity started, while it was the right time to go to Yangtz river region. The students also were thirsty to take the chance to get rid of busting big cities and experience serenity and simple of ancient town. Some student kew Xi Tang before they came to China, because the hollywood film mission impossible once found a view here, they excitedly went besided the poster of the film, imtating Tom Cruise, taking photo and communicating with boatmen. There were not too many tourists that day, thus making international students to be most eye-catching scenery in ancient Xi Tang. The students tasted pure food in region south of Yangtz River, played with fine traditional handicrafts, went through many small lounge bridges builed with slates, and visited old houses built along the river.
After the activity, some teachers set homework: writing an travel notes. Though these international students’ Chinese was not very good, they expressed their devotion to Xi Tang tour and their compliments on town in the south of Yangtze River.
