The School of Mechanical Engineering, USTB was founded since 1952. Over 50 years’ hard work of several generations， the school is developed rapidly. It tries to integrate the full spectrum of relevant disciplines including science, engineering, management and arts and to provide solid knowledge and full training for the next generation.
School of Mechanical Engineering now has seven departments, three centers and five institutions: Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Techtronic Engineering, Manufacturing and Automation, Mechanical Design, Thermal Science and Energy and Energy Engineering, Logistics Engineering and Industrial Design; Research Center of Parts Rolling, R&D Center and so on; Institute of Mechanical Engineering and so on . They have 192 members in school, including a group of outstanding scholars: 2 members of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 Special Chair Professor, 2 winners in “Plan for Fostering Cross-century Personnel” of the Ministry of Education, 2 Celebrated College Teachers of Beijing, 1 winner in “Plan for Fostering New Century Personnel” of the Ministry of Education.
In teaching field, their aim is to enhance the teaching quality and to cultivate the students’ comprehensive abilities. By untiring exploring and carrying out various educational reforms, they made excellent achievements. They have gained 2 national teaching achievement awards. They strive to fulfill the requirements of serving both national and regional technology and industrial development. Through the advanced equipments and outstanding personnel, they made the comprehensive achievements in many fields.
The school tries to promote diversity and international exposure. They have significant collaboration with the University of Udine, Italy. Their students are selected to universities in Taiwan, Italy, and Poland etc. Professors from Taiwan, America, Germany, Canada, England, and Japan have been invited to give lectures and some of them are our guest-professors now.

Undergraduate program: 4 years
Postgraduate program: 2-3 years
Doctoral program: 3-4years

The application time is during March to June.
Requirements for Admission
Applicants must be in good health and aged 18 or above .They must hold their native passport. Meantime, they must be high school graduates. Moreover, they should prepare the application form of the university, certificate of the high school, certificate of the HSK6, a copy and four photos of the passport.
