The predecessor of College of Law and Politics, Wenzhou University was the department of political education of Wenzhou Normal College. Currently, College of Law and Politics offers two postgraduate programs--- Basic principles of Marxism, ideological and political curriculum and teaching methodology. Besides, it offers 4 undergraduate programs--- law, ideological and political education, business administration, social work. The ideological and political education program is a key discipline of the university and it is under key construction. College of Law and Politics has research institute of Marxism, research institute of social law, research institute of educational methodology, research center of the historical culture of Wenzhou, research institute of overseas Chinese, etc.
Currently, College of Law and Politics has over 40 teaching and administrative staffs, among whom, 20 are holders of senior professional titles and over 20 have master degree or above. Besides, many of them were chosen as famous teachers, outstanding teachers, academic leaders of the province, etc. In recent three years, the teachers of this college have undertaken many scientific research projects at state-level, provincial and ministerial level, and municipal level. And they have won lots of scientific research achievements prizes at provincial and ministerial level, and municipal level. Besides, these teachers have published over 200 theses in provincial level journals or above. And they have published over 20 monographs and textbooks.
College of Law and Politics has moot court, laboratory of social work, laboratory of administrative management and many social practice bases. There are now over 900 full-time undergraduate students and master degree candidates at this college. In recent three years, 20 of the students have passed the Graduate Record Examinations of many national famous universities, such as Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Southwest Politics and Law University, etc. And over 60 students have successfully passed the civil service examination. College of Law and Politics has provided lots of outstanding talents for the society.

Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be under the age of 35 years, and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school, academic records, have an HSK test score of grade 3 or above.
For Master’s degree: Applicants must be under 40 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and a Bachelor’s degree, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above.
