Xi'an Physical Education University was established in 1954, which was founded under the cooperation of the State General Administration of Sports and the Sports Bureau of Shaanxi Province, is the only academic university for physical education & sports in northwestern China. The university has more than 7000 registered students. The university has played an important role in training P.E. teachers, coaches, athletes and special personnel for sports press, sports academy, sports supervisors and other needy professionals for society.
