The College of Mechanical Engineering is one of the main colleges in Tianjin University of Science & Technology which was founded in 1958. Currently there are 1,957 undergraduates and 93 post-graduates in the college. Among the 112 faculties, 18 are professors, 48 are associate professors, 22 teachers have got a doctoral degree and 40 teachers have got a master’s degree.
Ever since the “Ninth Five Year Plan”, the College of Mechanical Engineering has completed more than 48 scientific research projects at above provincial lever and gained 14 awards at the provincial and ministerial level. At present, the college has undertaken 24 scientific research projects such as national “863” projects, national scientific fund projects, etc. It also publishes about 100 academic dissertations and declares almost 10 National patents annually.
The College of Mechanical Engineering has 8 labs, namely Mechanical Basic Experimental Center, Mechanical CAD Experimental Center, Lab of Machinery Design, Manufacturing and Automation, Lab of Processing Units and Control Engineering, Lab of Material Forming &Control Engineering, Lab of Automobile Service Engineering, Industrial Design lab, Industrial Engineering Lab. A series of advanced experimental instruments increase the quality of teaching and the lever of scientific research.
The College of Mechanical Engineering insists in integrating the undergraduates’ employment with teachers’ scientific research and social work and students’ practice. For the past 3 years, the employment rate of the undergraduates reaches up to 96%, which ranks the top of that of other colleges of the Universities.

For international students, the academic year begins in September. The duration for application is from March 1st to June 30th.

Doctor students: having been awarded master degree; be in good health; pass HSK Band 6
