The School of Fashion Design & Engineering was regarded as one of the oldest two schools for fashion design and engineering education. Since its establishment, it has formed its own features of vivid and wide social influence. It was established in 2004 after a long time of construction and recombination.
Up to now, the School is authorized to offer 4 master’s programs with Zhejiang provincial key disciplines and key constructed majors. The School owns a total number of 130 staff members. The staff has a capability of teaching and scientific research, high education background, a balanced age and knowledge structure. Currently, it embraces more than 3000 undergraduates and graduates. The School has close relationship and cooperation with a large number of domestic and international universities, such as US, Hongkong, Korea, Italy, England, France, Russia, Taiwan and Malaysia, etc. They are send students and teachers mutually for academic exchange. With years of effort and development, the School has ranked its own international place.
The School aims to cultivate compound students integrating innovation, high qualities, and embarking. A comprehensive teaching mode and courses system has been established, combing fashion design with engineering technology, teaching ideology with practical activities, and domestic education with international education. It plays a crucial part in Chinese Rag Trade towards the world. A considerable number of international, applied and compound students have been trained in the school. In the past years, over 200 talents have entitled the great international awards in many design competitions. They have been highly commented and widely popular with the employers in various occupations.

Length of study
Undergraduate students: 4-5years
Postgraduate students: 2-3years
Doctoral students: 3 years
Application time
The time for application is September to January for spring term, March to August for autumn term.
The time for enrollment is End of January or February for spring term, September for fall term.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, in good physical condition.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
