The School of Art & Design is regarded as student-centered school of training senior applied talents in Artistic Design. Its precursor was the Department of Artistic Design established in 1979. The School was finally founded in 2004. Currently, it offers 5 bachelor programs: Artistic Design (Environmental Artistic Design, Visual Communication Design), Industrial Design, Advertisement Studies, Animation, and Fine Arts, 2 master programs including Artistic Design and Fine Arts.
At present, the School covers a number of 120 faculty members and 2000 full-time undergraduate students and 70 graduate students. The School always adheres to combining teaching with productive practice, combining teaching with scientific research, combining arts with engineering technology, as well as combining ideology with practice. It trains the students aiming at meeting the demands of the society and enjoys its own features. Upon the profound features and advantages, the School has made great progress in the fields of faculty structure, scientific research, teaching system reform, as well as the employment rate, etc.
The School endeavors to introduce high level talents, further deepen the reform of education teaching, improving teaching quality. It also has a better quality of teaching resources. The School is strengthening the relationship and cooperation with domestic and international famous universities, design units, and relevant industries, such as in Europe, America, Russia, and Ukraine and so on. Open education and open teaching has achieved many national and provincial school reputation, received many high praise from the academic world.
In the process of higher education advancing, the School keeps united, realistic and innovative remaining its development idea and sprit. The School will be harder and harder for cultivating high level talents and contribute its strength to the local economy developing quickly.

Undergraduate students: 4-5 years
Postgraduate students: 2-3 years
Doctoral students: 3 years
Application time
The time for application is September to January for spring term, March to August for autumn term.
The time for enrollment is End of January or February for spring term, September for fall term.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, in good physical condition.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good physical condition.
