On the morning of 4th ,November, the 64th alumni gathering together “Central South University’s heart, Metallurgy majored students’ love” was held in meeting room 304 of metallurgy building, it was organized by CSU Party Committee graduate student service office and undertaken by School of Metallurge. Over 30 metallurgy majored aluminum gathered together for the first after 48 years separation, reviewing beautiful memories when they were studying in Central South University, the University Party committee deputy secretary Gao Shan, graudate student service office leaders and part of teachers of school of metallurgy took part in the activity.
Prof. Cai Yanhou, one of the acitivity main organizers, gave his spoke. He said, as growing older, it would be more difficult to organize and take part in such aluminus, he hoped that he could organied more such activities in the rest of his life. He also appreciated school of metallugy support, hoped this gathering together could deepen friendship between the aluminus, and remove the sarrow times when they were young
Deputy secretary Gao Shan spoke on the a activity, he made a brief introducation about Central South University’s current development and future gole, pointed out that without generations of Central South students’e ffort the University couldn’t have current development, he hoped that through this gathering together to review history academic development, carding subject development context, learn the contributive spirit of the older aluminus, and spread the spirit of Central South University from generation to generation. He indicated that in order to commemorate the 60th anniversary of a CSU school of metallurgy, the university would successivelly complete photographing 3-seasons documentary film Chronicle of Mining and Metallurgy and revise of school, dicilpine history.
The grade 64 aluminus all spoke on the activity, 50 years ago, they were here for their dreams, 50 years later, there were here again reviewing their friendship, they were appreciated that they could be invited to take part in the activity, and wish Central South University a better future. The graduates from School of Constructional Art, School of Material Science, School of Mining and Metalurgy brought Poetry Readings, Chorus, Crosstalk, Tai Chi Calligraphy Show and other programs, won the applause of the alumni
