Upon the disciplines construction and departments’ revision, the School of Humanities and Economics was established in June, 1999 with merging the Department of Social Science and the Department of Foreign Language. It owns 9 departments including Department of Marxism Education, Department of All-round Education, Department of Ideological and Political Education, Department of Law, Department of Social Work, Department of Economics, Department of International Economics & Trade, Department of Finance, and Department of Advertising.
Up to now, the School has a total number of 148 full-time teachers, including 14 full professors, 47 associate professors with 122 Doctoral or Master’s degrees. Among them, there are 25 teachers granting Doctoral degree. The School offers 7 bachelor’s programs and 6 master’s programs.
The School attaches great importance to scientific research and it embraces a large number of research facilities. There are 3 academic halls and 3 key laboratories available in the school, which provide good conditions for the teachers and students. At present, it has a capacity of 14 affiliated institutes which play an active role in achieving the research results. In 2008, the expense of scientific research has research more than 1.4 RMB million.
The School is characteristic of three harmonious principles covering Human and Nature, Human and Human, Human itself. It puts great emphasize on the ideological research and practical quest and has primarily formed the feature of three harmonies in disciplines ecology. On the basis of its own features, the School has developed itself into a famous school with unique teaching conception and thread. It aims to foster talents who are capable of comprehensive qualities, innovative spirit, and professional ability.

Application time
For international students, the academic year begins in September for the autumn semester and February for the spring semester. The duration for application is from April 1st to June 30th.

For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK3 certificate or above, in good health.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 45, HSK3 certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
