College of Economics, Hunan Agricultural University was set up in 1982. It has been boarding teaching and research domain, enlarging the scale of students' enrollment and improving the teaching quality. In addition, it has made great achievements in scientific research. The College is made up of 3 departments: Economic management, Economics and Finance. Currently, the College offers 3 undergraduate programs (agricultural economy, economics, finance and banking), 1 postgraduate program (agricultural economy management) and 1 doctoral program (agricultural economy management). Besides, it offers the some programs for the adult-education students. There are now 1698 undergraduates, 146 masters, 50 doctors and 835 training students and adult-education students at this college.
College of Economics has 1 comprehensive lab, 1 provincial key subject (Agricultural Economic Management), 1 provincial key major (Agricultural Economic Management) and 2 provincial research bases.
The number of faculty in the College reaches 58, including 9 professors, 15 vice professors, 12 doctoral tutors and 17 master tutors. 77.5% of total number of teachers have gained master's degree or above. There are 18 teachers with doctor degree and 16 teachers with master degree.
The college is always placing great emphasis on academic research. By now, the college has obtained more than 70 national and provincial academic projects and has won 40 scientific achievement awards. In addition, It has published more than 600 academic essays.

Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be under the age of 35 years, and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school, academic records, have an HSK test score of grade 3 or above.
For Master’s degree: Applicants must be under 40 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and a Bachelor’s degree, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above.
For Doctoral degree:Applicants must be in good physical condition and under 45 of age in principle, holding a non-China passport and a Master’s degree, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, academic records.
