College of Agriculture, Hunan Agricultural University is one of the earliest colleges in Hunan Agricultural University. There are five Bachelor's programs provided for undergraduate in the College (Agronomy, Grass Science, Plant Science and Technology, Tobacco Science and seed Science and Engineering). Besides, the College has master’s degree in seven specialties and Ph.D. degree in seven specialties (crop cultivation and farming, crop genetics and breeding, crop information and science, seed science and engineering, tobacco science and engineering, practaculture science). Since the establishment of the College, it has a total number of more than 9000 graduates. Graduates can be found everywhere in China and even in many other countries.
The current faculty stands at 103, including 1 academician, 2 "Lotus Scholar", 31 professors, 30 associate professors, 27 doctoral tutors, 32 masters' tutors and 8 experts receiving special allowance from the government.
In order to improve the quality of teaching and the level of research, faculty members are active in writing academic essay. From the State Award for Science and Technology Progress, the college has been awarded 1 first class prize, 2 second class prize and 3 third class prizes.
In addition, the international cooperation is an important part of academic activities of the College. In recent years, it has established close cooperative relationship with around 10 universities and institutes in the USA, Canada, Russia, Japan, India, Philippines and Thailand etc.

Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: Applicants must be under the age of 35 years, and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and having graduated from high school, academic records, have an HSK test score of grade 3 or above.
For Master’s degree: Applicants must be under 40 of age and in good physical condition, holding a non-China passport and a Bachelor’s degree, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above.
For Doctoral degree:Applicants must be in good physical condition and under 45 of age in principle, holding a non-China passport and a Master’s degree, have an HSK test score of level 5 or above, have 2 letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors, academic records.
