The School of Civil engineering at Hehai University consists of the Department of Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering Surveying and Mapping Engineering, and so on. It is a school integrating talents training, scientific research and social service, and international cooperation. Owning a group of famous domestic and international experts and scholars, and their theoretical research, scientific research and academic level, the School has a great influence both domestically and internationally.
At present, it covers 4 first-level disciplines including Civil Engineering, Mechanics, Geological Resources & Geological Engineering, and Surveying Engineering, and other 12 second-level disciplines including Structural Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and so on. Among them there are 12 disciplines for Doctoral degree, 13 disciplines for Master’s degree, and 3 engineering postgraduate students training fields including Structural Engineering, Surveying Engineering, and Geological Engineering. There are 3 key disciplines under national construction, one national base of engineering basic courses, 2 disciplines under Jiangshu Province construction, 2 key laboratories and 2 key disciplines of the Ministry of National Hydraulic Department.
The School has a group of high-qualified faculty of 200 full-time members, including 35 doctoral supervisors, 53 full and advanced position titles, 55 associate advanced position titles. The faculty for Master’s degrees has a percentage over 70. Currently, it covers 1600 undergraduate students, 700 postgraduate students and 150 doctoral students.
The School attaches great importance to teaching and scientific research. Moreover, it has a wide frequency of international cooperation and exchanges, including universities of the United States, Britain, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore and Hong Kong and so on.

Application time
For international students, the deadline for application is prior to May 31 every year. The academic year begins on September 1.
Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: the applicants should have senior high school diploma or equivalent, score list, in good health and HSK3 certificate or above.
For Master’s degree: the applicants should have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, recommended by two associate professors or above, research plan in 400-800 words, score list, in good health and HSK3 certificate or above.
For Doctoral degree:the applicants should have Master’s degree or equivalent, recommended by two associate professors or above, research plan in 400-800 words, in good health and HSK3 certificate or above.
