Sanquan Medical College, founded in 2003, was identified as an independent college by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in December 2003. In February 2009, the cooperative education agreement with a fund of 1.5 billion yuan was signed by Xinxiang Medical University and Zhongmei Healthcare Group to boost the development of Sanquan Medical College, marking the beginning of a brand-new era of Sanquan.
Characterized by a unique “classical academy + school” educational pattern, Sanquan now comprises of 16 schools (or departments) such as the School of Basic Medicine and the School of Nursing, 6 academies such as Renzhi and Xihe, as well as 30 administrative departments including teaching affairs department and student affairs department.
