The College of Humanities & Social Science was established in March, 2000, after merging the Department of Social Science, Institute of Literal Art and Psychological Reference Center. Currently, the College covers the following departments and institutes: Department of Marxism Theory Studies, Social Work Department, Advertising Department, Chinese Language and Culture Department, Art Teaching-research Section, Psychology Teaching-research Section, Science Technology and Social Studies Research Centre, Sociology Research Center, Culture Creativity Industry Research Center, Institute of Human Resources, Institute of Analysis of Tracking Science and Technology Policy in and out of China, Institute of Modern Advertisement.
At present, the College has a capacity of 82 staff with 71 full-time teachers and researchers, and 11 administrative officers. Among them, there are 10 professors, 26 associate professors, 21 Doctoral degrees, 22 master supervisors. The faculty is good at teaching and scientific research and has always tried new ideas to innovate the teaching mode which make the education level improve highly. The Faculty pays attention to the faculty construction and reform the teaching structure. As a result, the faculty members have a reasonable age, knowledge and speciality structure.
The College offers 3 Bachelor’s degree programs covering Social Work, Advertising, Chinese Language and Literature, and 3 Master’s degree programs including Philosophy of Science and Technology, Sociology and Marxism of Chinese Culture. Up till now, it has an enrollment of 461 undergraduate students, 15 postgraduate students, over 20 doctoral students and over 20 international students. The College puts great emphasize on scientific research and has made great achievements in various fields, such as Marxism, Sociology, Communication, Culture Creativity Industry, Science and Technology Philosophy and Chinese Language and Culture.

For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK certificate or above, in good health.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 45, HSK certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
