The School of Architectural & Civil Engineering was established in April, 1998. It has developed itself into a famous school with 50 years’ history. Currently, the School covers the following departments and institutes: Department of Civil Engineering，Department of Traffic Engineering，Department of Municipal Engineering，Department of Building Environment and Facility ，Institute of Architectural Design (1st Rank)，Two co-constructed labs, three key labs of Beijing, nine institutes and four lab centers.
At present, it offers 5 Bachelor’s Degree programs, 9 Master’s Degree programs, 7 Doctoral Degree programs, 1 Post-doctoral research program, 1 national discipline, 2 Beijing key disciplines, 1 discipline receiving privileged support from Beijing municipality. The School has a total number of 173 staff with 120mfull-time teachers. Among them, there are 3 academicians, 41 full senior titles, 59 associate senor titles and 88 Doctoral degrees. It covers 28 doctoral supervisors and master supervisors. The faculty is capable of teaching and scientific research and has a balanced combination of age, knowledge of its members.
The School has an enrollment of 1283 undergraduates, 603 postgraduates, 151 doctorates, 10 post-doctorates and 225 Engineering postgraduates. In the past years, it has cultivated a number of over 10,000 undergraduate students and 1000 graduate students. Most of them become the famous experts and management talents at home and abroad. And even some of them have become the academicians of Chinese Science Academy. The students have made great contributions to the construction of social economics in the capital city.
After 50 years’ development, the School has established a mode of meeting the needs of city architectural engineering construction, combining theories with practice, as well as merging innovative spirit. It forms a good learning environment with religious, opening and harmonious academic atmosphere. Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree:
Be above 18 years old, senior high school graduate, HSK certificate or above, in good health.
For Master’s degree:
Have Bachelor’s degree or above, under the age of 40, HSK certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
For Doctoral degree:
Have Master’s degree or above, under the age of 45, HSK certificate or above, academic score list, 2 recommended letters from two associate professors or above, in good health.
