Day by day itinerary
Day 1 Chengdu-Lanzhou
Leave Chengdu for Lanzhou by plane.
Day 2 Lanzhou-Jiayuguan
In the morning, taste the famous food----Lanzhou Noodles. Visit Zhongshan Bridge, waterwheel and the most beautiful statue of the same kind-----Yellow River Mother Statue. Then admire the Yellow River and return to Jiayuguan in the evening.
Day 3 Jiayuguan-Dunhuang
Arrive at Jiayuguan in the morning and visit the magnificent ancient building.
Day 4 Dunhuang-Turfan
Visit the Mogao Grotto, which is the treasure of Buddhism and famous for its numerous Buddha Statue and wall paintings. Then admire the magic scene of the Mingsha Mountain and the Crescent Moon Spring. In the evening, go to Turfan by train.
Day 5 Turfan-Urumqi
Turfan is the lowest place in the world, which is 154 meters under the sea level. Visit the Jiaohe Ancient City, Mountain of Flames, Karez and Grape Valley. In the evening, return to Urumqi. Along the journey travelers can admire the biggest wind power plant of Asia-----Dabancheng Power plant, as well as the beautiful landscape of salty lake.
Day 6 Urumqi-Tianchi Lake-Nanshan Pasture
Go to Tianchi Lake in the morning and enjoy the beautiful sceneries there. Travelers can also admire the magnificent and holy snow mountain near the lake.Go to Nanshan Pasture and experience the unique customs of Kazak nationality. In the evening, visit the local big market------bazaar.
