The city's capital status lasted for 1,608 years. As regards the number of dynasties and span of time, Xi'an served as an ancient capital beyond compare.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1
The guide will give you a bright meet at Beijing Western Railway Station and then take a train to Xi’an.
 
Day 2
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to the Terracotta Warriors & Horses, located in Jiangzhai Xichang Village, around one mile from Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum. After that, the tour guide will accompany you to Huaqing Hot Spring, situated 30 kilometers east of Xian at the foot of the Lishan Hills. The springs were a popular retreat with Emperors more than 2,500 years ago, many of whom enjoyed bathing in the crystal clear mineral water.  Next proceed to the Qinshihuang’s Underground Palace and then go back to Xi’an.
 
Day 3
Have a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a famous Buddhist pagoda situated inside Da Ci'en Temple, four kilometers south of Xi'an. Emperor Gaozong (628-683) commissioned the building of this temple in 652 during the Tang Dynasty. The pagoda's structure is simple but very sturdy and is regarded as a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture.  

In the afternoon, proceed to the Ming Dynasty City Wall, which is the most complete ancient city wall in China. At about 5:00 pm, the guide will send you to the railway station to return to Beijing.
 
Day 4
After arrival in Beijing, the tour ends and you will be free.
