The Department of Law of East China Normal University was found in 2001. The faculty of the School has a high-level capacity of teaching and scientific research, a high-level education level and a balanced combination and age structure of its members. Currently, it covers 16 full-time teachers including 1 professor, 5 associate professors and 10 lectures. Most of them are Master degrees and 4 are gaining Doctoral degree presently.
Under the premise of the completion of the teaching tasks, all teachers in the department have obtained the certain achievement in scientific researches. Currently, they have won two national projects, two provincial projects, three teaching construction fund projects and transverse projects, taking part in a project at minstrel level and other transverse projects. In the recent years, the faculty makes every effort to study which in turn leading to more achievements have been made. They have published 4 academic works; edited 4 unite materials of the Justice Department and published nearly 40 academic dissertations.
Belonging to East China Normal University, one of China’s “key universities” under the direct auspices of the country’s Ministry of Education, a member of the prestigious “211 Project” and “958 Project”, the department is home to the most advanced libraries, laboratories, institutes and teaching sections. It has cultivated a considerable number of legal talents since its establishment. It aims to cultivate all-round students with the abilities both theoretically and practically who can make great contributions to the society and the development of law and democracy. Currently, most of the fostering talents have played an active role in courts, institutes, and education fields and even other related occupations. Besides teaching and scientific research, the Department also attaches great importance to academic exchange with universities and institutes at home and abroad. It has won a good reputation in the academic world.

Entry requirements
For Bachelor’s degree: the applicants should have senior high school diploma, academic records, and HSK3 certificate.
For Master’s degree: the applicants should have Bachelor’s degree, recommended by two associate professors or above, academic records, and HSK6 certificate.
For Doctoral degree:the applicants should have Master’s degree, academic records, recommended by two associate professors or above, health certificate and HSK6 certificate.
