Day by day itinerary
Day 1 Wuhan-Chongqing or Chengdu
Leave Wuhan for Chongqing or Chengdu.
Day 2 Lhasa
Leave Chengdu or Chongqing for Lhasa by air. After arrived, a welcome ceremony will be held and then transfer to hotel to have a rest and adjust yourself to the environment.
Day 3 Lhasa
Go to visit the landmark of Tibet-the Patala Palace, built in Sontzen Gampo era, it’s the world-famous cultural heritage. Later you can visit Jokhang Temple, with a history of 1350, the oldest temple in Lhasa. After that, you can have a free walk on Barkhor Street, in which converges all pilgrims from the country. On Barkhor Street you can have a panoramic view of Tibetan life. Stay in Lhasa with three meals.
Day 4
Go to one of the three sacred lakes of Tibet- Nam Lake (4770 meters high). It covers an area of 1920 Square kilometers. You can admire the lake as well as the scenery collected with it, like Snow Mountains, grasslands, rocks and the blue sky! It will surely surprise you with such magnificent and great beauty! After that, go to visit Yangpachen geothermic electro power station. At last go back to Lhasa. Stay in Lhasa with three meals.
Day 5
Go to visit the most important Tibetan sacred lake-Yanmdrok Lake. It Tibetan it means “swan lake”. It’s the biggest inner lake of Himalaya area. After that, go to Jiangzi, a famous city of Tibet, and you can visit Baijv Temple (40yuan/person). Later, transfer to Shigatse by vehicle.
Day 6
After breakfast, go to visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, built in 1447, where visitors can visit the biggest indoor Buddha (26meters high). After that, go back to Lhasa on the road along Brahmaputra valley and you can admire the scenery. Stay in Lhasa with three meals
Day 7
After breakfast, go to visit Bayi town. After that, visitors can transfer to Lulang forest by vehicle to see the virgin forests and Snow Mountains along Niyanghe Valley. After finished, go back to Lhasa by vehicle.
Day 8
Go to visit King of Cypress Tree with a history of 2500 years. At Nyingchi National Reservation, you can admire Big Cypress. They are called “live fossil” for their long history. The oldest one has lived over 2600 years already! After that, transfer to Lhasa by vehicle. Stay in Lhasa with three meals.
Day 9
After breakfast, go to Lhasa Gongga airport to take flight back to Chongqing or Chengdu.
Day 10
Journey ends.
