Detailed itinerary
Day 1 Wuhan- Lanzhou
Leave at Hankou Railway Station and then take Train T192 to Lanzhou.
Day 2 Lanzhou- Xining
Upon appreciating the scenic view on the way, you will arrive in Lanzhou at noon. Then take a bus to Xining and register in the hotel.
Day 3 Xining- Qinghai Lake
After breakfast, drive along the Xihuang Highway and pass the throat of Qinghai-Tibet—Huangyuan Gorge. Then proceed to China largest inland salt lake which has crystal clear water and beautiful scenery and many attractive legends. After lunch, drive along the road around the lake and visit Xihai Town, Haiyan County. Then go back to Xining.
Day 4 Xining- Taer Monastery-Jiayuguan
After lunch, go to the Buddhism temple- Taer Monastery full of religion culture. Visitors will have a learning of the three wonders- ghee flowers, barbola and fresco. In the evening, go to Jiayuguan by train.
Day 5 Jiayuguan
After breakfast, go to enjoy the lofty Jiayuguan where to have a look at the Great Wall. After that, take a bus to Dunhuang.
Day 6 Mogao Grottoes
After breakfast, have a visit to the world culture heritage- Mogao Grottoes. Next proceed to Mingsha Mountain and Yueya Spring. After supper, go to Urumqi by train.
Day 7 Urumqi- Turpan
The guide will meet you in the morning and lead you to Turpan by car after breakfast. After arrival, have a visit to the Ancient Jiaohe City where to experience the local Uygur ethic customs. Next continue to the great project of underground hydraulic- Kanr Well and visit the Grapes Valley. You will also go to visit the Mountains of Flame. In the afternoon, go back to Urumqi and overlook the salt-lakes and Dabancheng Wind Power Generation.
Day 8 Mt. Tianshan
After breakfast, drive to the national 4A scenic area- the Heavenly Pool on the top of Tianshan Mountain which has crystal clear water and charming scenery. After that, have a visit to the international Bazaar and participate in shopping for handcrafts.
Day 9 Wuhan
After breakfast, send you to Wuhan by plane and the happy tour ends.
