Tour Itinerary
Day 1, Beijing / Xiamen
Hotel/apartment pick-up in the morning around 5:30am or 6:00am by our guide & vehicle with driver. Transfer to the airport to catch the flight to Xiamen (about a 2.5 hour flight). Our guide will help you with the check-in process; she/he will not leave until they see you off to the security check.
Upon arrival at Xiamen airport, be met by our local private English-speaking guide (She/he will hold a sign with your name written on it in the terminal lobby) & driver. You will visit South Putuo Temple. This imposing multi-layered structure that overlooks the sea was first built during the Tang Dynasty more than 1,000 years ago. This temple is a wonderful place to learn about Buddhism. Afterwards, drive to a teahouse and enjoy a traditional tea ceremony. Proceed to visit Huli Fortress, which houses the biggest and oldest Cannon in the world. Enjoy Xiamen Seafood Cuisine for lunch. Stay overnight in the Xiamen City Hotel, 4 star standard.

Day 2, Xiamen / Earth Buildings Nanjing
Hotel pick-up after breakfast. Start a full day excursion to Nanjing (2.5 hours drive) where you will visit the Hakka Earth Buildings. On arrival, visit Taxia Village and get an insider view of the local countryside and a local farmer's life. Have lunch in a local restaurant. Go on to visit Tianluokeng Building and Dongdaoxiwai Building. After a whole day of sightseeing, transfer back to Xiamen.

The Hakka Tulou (Earth Buildings) of Fujian is found chiefly in Yongding in Longyan, and Hua'an and Nanjing in Zhangzhou. As a world culture heritage site, it is praised as a magnificent architectural work of village houses for its long history, unique style, smart structure and grand scale. The shapes varied from round to square, and each serves its own function. The earth building is a well-protected fortress shape which helps protect the Hakka people against enemies. In addition to this function, it is also quakeproof and fire proof.
Day 3, Xiamen / Beijing
Hotel check-out & pick-up after having breakfast. Then drive to the ferry station where you will take a ferry to Gulangyu Isle. After a five-minute ferry ride, arrive at Gulangyu for a unique guided tour. Take a golf cart to visit Shuzhuang Garden and enjoy the terrain and the sea, which were perfectly incorporated into the layout of the entire garden. See the Nine-Bend Forty-Four Bridge, which is delicately poised above the sea and consists of Duyue Pavilion (Watching Moon Pavilion), Qianbo Pavilion (Thousand-Wave Pavilion), and interesting rockwork. Also, you can learn about many kinds of famous pianos in the Piano Museum, the only piano museum in China.
Enjoy Xiamen traditional snacks for lunch. After lunch, be taken to the airport. On the way, visit the Ring Road which is a beautiful Marathon Course. Our guide will help you with the check-in process; she/he will not leave until they see you off to the security check.
Upon arrival in Beijing (4:45pm), be met by our guide (She/he will hold a sign with your name written on it in the terminal lobby) & driver again, and provide transportation back to your hotel/apartment.

Gulangyu Isle is an oasis with serene beauty, a tranquil atmosphere and buildings in various architectural styles. The beach and a string of bungalows built in English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish and Chinese style flank the islet.
Shuzhuang Garden was built by a Taiwanese business tycoon who moved his whole family from Taiwan during the Sino-Japanese war of 1894 –1895.

C. It is highly suggested that you get plenty of rest the day before departure.
D. It is required that you bring your passport the day of the tour, otherwise you will not be allowed to board the plane.
