General Students in Advanced Studies
Description
Students in this programme could either choose any subject to study and attend the same class with Chinese students or select major lectures on Chinese Culture designated for overseas students by the Institute for International Students, NJU, such as Chinese Literature, Chinese History, Chinese Economy, Chinese Philosophy, Chinese Law, etc. Students will be awarded Certificate of Completion and full Transcript when finishing the study.
Length of Study
6 months to 2 years.
Application should be made before July 31 and Jan. 20 each year.
Entry Requirement
Applicant should hold high school graduation certificate with excellent performance and good health, and have valid foreign passport.
Application Documents
1. Application Form.
2. High school graduation certificate and full transcript.
3. Copy of HSK Score Report.
4. One copy of passport and two passport-size photos.
5. Other documents which could demonstrate your comprehensive abilities, such as award or prize certificate.
The application documents won’t be returned to applicants.
Recruitment Procedure
1. Nanjing University will normally post “Letter of Admission of Overseas Students” and “Visa Application Form of Overseas Students (JW202)” to successful applicants one month after receiving the application documents. The unsuccessful applicants will also be notified via fax or email before the end of June.
2. Successful applicants could submit their visa application to Chinese Embassy or Consulate with Letter of Admission and JW202 Form.
3. Registration should be made according to time stated in Letter of admission at the Institute for International Students, Nanjing University. Original “Letter of Admission of Overseas Students”, “Foreigners’ Health Certificate” (valid only for 6 months, so applicants are recommended to take physical examination in April) and JW202 Form are required to bring when registering.
Course Date
Course starts in February and September every year (subject to the date on Letter of Admission).
Fees
Tuition fees: RMB9500/half year; RMB19000/year;
No application fees.
Registration fees: RMB400/person.
Tuition fees and registration fees should be paid after the enrolment.
Note: The fees of textbooks will be collected according to the actual price.

Advanced Students
Description
This programme is designed for students with master degrees, to carry out research on special issues or study professional knowledge under the supervision of professors at Nanjing University. Students will be awarded Certificate of Study on completion.
Length of Study
Normally one year, but can be extended if necessary.
Application should be made before July 31 and Jan. 20 each year.
Entry Requirement
Applicant should be below 50, with master degrees or over and non-Chinese citizen.
Application Documents
1. Application Form.
2. Final degree transcript should be original in Chinese or English, or certified copy.
3. Two original written references by associate professors or equivalent, in Chinese or English.
4. HSK Score Report if applicable.
5. Proposal (no less than 1000 words, in Chinese or English)
6. One copy of passport and two passport-size photos.
The application documents won’t be returned to applicants.

Description
This programme is designed for researchers with PhD Degree or at least associate professor qualification to carry out research on special subjects or issues with cooperation or assistance of Chinese professors.
Length of Study
The length of research could be decided by the researcher himself according to the research requirement and the research can be commenced at any time.
Application should be made two months in advance.
Application Date
Application can be submitted at any time except holidays at spring and autumn semester.
Entry Requirement
Applicant must at least associate professor of a university or full-time researcher of research institution.
