Day by day itinerary
Day 1
Leave form Xian to Urumqi by train, and the Silk Road tour begins.
Day 2
Travelling on the train, you can appreciate the grand desert of West China.
Day 3
In the morning, visit the Mountain of Fire and the ancient city of Gaochang－the ancient capital of Western China with a history of thousands of years, the Poke Palace, the Qanat－the local irrigation system, and the Grape Valley－a place rich in grapes. After viewing the beautiful scenery of Dabancheng, the Wind Power Station of Baili, and the Salt Lake, we will go back to Urumqi in the end. The supper is not included in the price.
Day 4
Leave for Bujin by bus after breakfast via the reclamation base of the army. Feel the local culture of the northern part of Xinjiang and tour the grassland of Altai and Burqin.
Day 5
Apply for the border permit after breakfast. Through the only river of China following to the Arctic Ocean, leave for the last pure land of the world－the Kanas Lake－which is considered as “the Eastern Switzerland”. And the monsters of the lake described in the legend attract many explorers form the world. Along the way, you can appreciate the primeval forest, the betula platyphylla forest, the Yueya Bay, the Wolong Pool, the Yaze Lake, the Fairy Bay，and the village of Tuwa ethnic group. To relax yourselves, you can also admire the sunset with the group in the evening.
Day 6
Bathed in the morning sunlight, you can climb up to the fish-viewing pavilion, watching the great red fish. (You should pay for the transport by yourselves.) Apart from the fascinating scenes of the Kanas Lake, you also have a chance to view the Buddha’s light of the lake if you are lucky enough. Then, visit the Bird’s Garden which has various kinds of flowers and birds. After lunch, view the Yadong(wind-erosion) landscape via the prairie of Bukesaier and the city of wind－the so called Ghost City（which is also called “the Museum of the Nature”）－in Wuhe（The ticket for the Ghost City is not included in the price.）Then, leave for the city of oil－the Karamay city－through the populus euphratica forest and the Heiyou Mountain.
Day 7
Return to Wushi by the same route, and visit the Bazaar of the Second Bridge.
Day8
After breakfast, tour the Heavenly Lake of Tianshan Mountain－a secret meeting place of the Queen Mother of the West (pay for the cableway and the cruise by yourselves). View the grand Bogeda Peak which has an altitude of 5445 meters, the steep Stone Gate, the springs and waterfalls, the Heilong pool, and the basin of the Queen Mother for feet washing. Then visit the jade carving factories and the Tianshan Pharmacy. Return to Urumqi in the afternoon, and leave for Xian in the evening by train.
Day 9 and Day 10
Arrive at Xian and put an end to the journey.
