Day 01Arrival in Hohhot
Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Hohhot Airport or the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Hohhot - Hohhot is the Green City in Mongolian. There are over 50 temples located here, so Hohhot is also famed as the Zhao City and Zhao means temple in Mongolian. Most of the temples were constructed in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasties (1644-1911), such as the well-known Ming's Dazhao Temple and the Qing's Five-Pagoda Temple. Apart from those historical relics, Hohhot is attractive enough for those travelers who are longing for experiencing the exotic Mongolian life of riding horses on the vast grassland.
Day 02Hohhot
Drive to the Gegentala Grassland. Visit the herdsmen's tent and enjoy the Mongolian Singing and Dances. Stay at the tent.

Gegentala Grassland - Gegentala is the largest place to enjoy the wild grassland of Hohhot and the nomadic life of Mongolian. It is about 140 kilometers to the north of Hohhot City, situated in the heart of the huge Wulanchabu Grassland which consists of six parts. In Mongolian, Gegentala is the summer resort covered with abundant green grass and herds of sheep and cows. It has the most comfortable climate from summer to fall when the most magnificent pastoral view is showed.
Day 03Hohhot
Transfer back to Hohhot. Visit the Tomb of Zhaojun, the Wuta Temple and the Dazhao Lamasery.

Tomb of Zhaojun - The Tomb of Zhaojun is one of the top eight tour destinations of Hohhot. Wang Zhaojun is praised to be one of the four famous beauties in ancient China due to her great contribution of unifying the Han and Hun. In 33 BC, Wang Zhaojun, a palace lady of the Han's Emperor Yuan, volunteered to marry the Hun's Khan in return for a 50-year's peaceful friendship of the Han Dynasty and the nomadic Hun.
Dazhao Lamasery - Dazhao Lamasery is the oldest and the largest Buddhist temple in Hohhot which was constructed in 1580 during the Ming Dynasty. It is also called the Silver Buddha Temple because a silver statue of Sakyamuni was positioned there. This 2.5-meter high statue was carved by the craftsmen from Nepal and then was unveiled by the third Tibetan Dalai Lama. Besides of it, this temple is also noted for the other two treasures. One is the two lively carved dragons on the golden pillars on the two sides of the statue, and the other one is the vivid fresco on the walls of the halls.
Day 04Departure from Hohhot
Your pleasant China tour ends as we transfer you to the airport and help you board the flight back home.
