Descriptions:
Tomb of Zhaojun - The Tomb of Zhaojun is one of the top eight tour destinations of Hohhot. In 33 BC, Wang Zhaojun, a palace lady of the Han's Emperor Yuan, volunteered to marry the Hun's Khan in return for a 50-year's peaceful friendship of the Han Dynasty and the nomadic Hun.

Dazhao Lamasery - Dazhao Lamasery is the oldest and the largest Buddhist temple in Hohhot which was constructed in 1580 during the Ming Dynasty. It is also called the Silver Buddha Temple because a silver statue of Sakyamuni was positioned there. This 2.5-meter high statue was carved by the craftsmen from Nepal and then was unveiled by the third Tibetan Dalai Lama. Besides of it, this temple is also noted for the other two treasures. One is the two lively carved dragons on the golden pillars on the two sides of the statue, and the other one is the vivid fresco on the walls of the halls.
