The School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Wuhan University of Technology was founded in 1952. After the hard work and innovation of the several generations, today, the school has become an important academic exchange platform and talent cultivation base of the civil and architecture industry.
The school has 1843 undergraduates, including 12 overseas students. There are 505 master students and 88 doctoral students. There are 249 master students of Engineering and 356 PhD students. In the postdoctoral mobile station there are 18 postdoctoral researchers. The school has 149 staff members including 32 full professors, 59 associate professors, and among them 19 professors acting as supervisors of doctoral candidates and 60 serving as supervisors of master's degree students.
The school has the Department of Architecture, the Department of Civil engineering, the Department of Project Management, and the Department of Municipal Engineering. There are four undergraduate majors: Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management and Bridge &Tunnel Engineering. Currently there are four Bachelor's programs, nine Master's programs and ten PhD programs in the school. Its architecture and urban planning post-doctoral mobile station is outstanding in China. They make great accomplishments at home and abroad. The teachers have gained 9 provincial prizes, published 22 textbooks and 703 papers.
The graduates from the college are popular in the industry of civil engineering and architecture. They have always worked hard, made great achievements and contributed to the development and prosperity of Wuhan’s economy.
The school has also established extensive links of academic exchange and cooperation with universities and research institutes in Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K. and USA as well as in Chinese Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Requirements for Admission
Undergraduate: The applicant should have the academic background equivalent to a graduate from Chinese high school, be healthy, under the age of 25, and receive a satisfactory score in the entrance examinations held by Wuhan University of Technology.
Postgraduate for Master's Degree: The applicant should have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent level of education, be healthy and under the age of 45. Those who have graduated from a Chinese University with a good record will be admitted upon recommendations.
Postgraduate for Ph. D: The applicant should have a Master's degree or hold an equivalent level of education, be healthy, under the age of 45 and should pass the entrance examinations given by a Ph. D supervisor.
