Introduction
The School of Technical Physics was founded in 1970. There are two specialties offered by the School, including Electronic Science and Technology and Microelectronics. Both specialties are continuing to show exponential growth, and are likely to continue for the foreseeable future.
A great number of research activities in different areas are carried out by the School. The School has remarkable strength in areas of Photoelectronics and Microelectronics with the leading research groups in the country. We initiate persistently the themes: advanced research, cooperative spirit, and outstanding students. Now advances in technology and in methods of analysis and design are showing up at such a rapid pace that many solutions and approaches to engineering problems must be completely rethought every few years. This has a profound influence on the type of people we hire as faculty, and on the nature of the training we provide with our students. We have adjusted our Ph.D., Master's and Undergraduate programs to better train students who will face extremely rapid change throughout their careers and will successfully work in multidisciplinary teams
