General Requirements:

Language Requirements
  • All degree programs are taught in Chinese (including lectures, textbooks and exams). Student whose native language is not Chinese will be required to take one-year intensive Chinese language training before their professional studies.
  • Please be noted that the one-year training doesn't secure your academic success. Students who want to enter professional study after finishing the one-year training or students who transfer to CPU from other institutions must pass HSK 4. To best understand the lectures, textbooks and exams, HSK 7 is strongly recommended.
Health Requirements
  • No achromatopsia (color blindness), no Hepatitis B. This is also required for getting the Chinese visa and Residence Permit.
Visa Documents
  • Student pursuing a degree must apply for an X (student) visa (with no less than 30 days of stay) at the Chinese Embassy/Council, with the JW201/202 form issued together with the Admission Notice.
  • Non-degree students may apply for the F (visiting) visa or L (travel) visa. The time of stay shall be no less than the period of study.

Physical Examination Fee (Jiangsu Hygiene Center): ¥340.

Scholarship
CPU accepts a number of scholarship students through the Ministry of Education every year. Their tuition (basic textbooks and lab fees included), medical insurance and basic living expenses are covered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC).

Qualification of Applicants
Any foreign citizen, overseas Chinese, or compatriot from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan who aims to pursue a bachelor’s degree and meet the following qualifications, may contact the Division International Exchange and Cooperation of China Pharmaceutical University and ask for an Application Form for Admission of Foreign Students or download it from our website.
1.     Graduated from senior high school
2.     Under the age of 30 and healthy
Application for Chinese Government Scholarship
Applicants may apply for the CSC scholarship through their governmental departments, organizations or Chinese embassies. Application period: February to April. Please check the website of China Scholarship Council (CSC at http://www.csc.edu.cn) for details.
Application Materials
1.     A completed APPLICATION FORM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (download from our website or request by person).
2.     Photocopy of senior high school diploma. If not yet graduated, please provide a certificate of enrollment with expected graduation date on it.
3.     Photocopy of transcripts (academic records).

Qualification of Applicants

Apply as a Visiting Student
 
Introduction
China Pharmaceutical University is equipped with advanced research facilities and teaching resources. International students who are willing to take courses or do research at CPU as visiting students are encouraged to apply through the Division of International Exchange and Cooperation, China Pharmaceutical University.
The visiting program ranges from 1 semester to 2 years. A non-degree certificate of advanced study will be awarded when the visiting student successfully finishes his/her study at China Pharmaceutical University. Official transcripts are also available upon request.

1.     Healthy and under the age of 50
2.     For General Visiting Student: at least one year undergraduate study
3.     For Senior Visiting Student: Master's degree or higher
