Delegation of American Huston University visited China University of Geosciences

On the 28th, American Huston University College of Nature Science and Mathematics Prof. John Baier, Arnold Gulay and alumnus Zhou Huawei visited CUG, president Wang Yanxin interviewed the guests, and responsible person of relevant function departments and the teacher representative attended the interview.
Wang Yanxin spoke and hoped two universities carry out wide cooperation in jointly building Confucius Institute, foundation programs teachers training abroad and scientific research cooperation and so on aspects.
Both parties decided to carry out “3+2” or “3+1” joint bachelor-master programs in Geosciences, Biology, Chemistry, Computer science, Mathematics and Physics, it tuition was the paid according to local American students tuition criterion and provide a certain scholarship.
It is said that Huston University is a research university which values students’ independent research ability training, the university set up over 40 research centers and have cooperation relationship with over 300 government institutes and enterprises which provide many chances of internship. it makes great effect in petroleum exploration, economics, eduations and so on aspects.
